Student Loan Forgiveness and Retirement 101
You will be provided step-by-step instructions for getting on the path TODAY to getting your student loans forgiven. Even if you have not reached 10 years in teaching, there are things you should do today to preserve the payments you've already made just in case the program is terminated.
With seven out of 10 college graduates owing an average of $30,000 in student loans, student debt is no longer just a burden - it's become a barrier to The American Dream! The thousands of educators and students who have joined NEA's Degrees Not Debt campaign don't think that's right.
In this training we will help you to identify the different types of loans, the various income-driven repayment plans, discuss the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, several Teacher Loan Forgiveness programs. We will provide warnings about what to watch out for regarding student loan scams.
NEA's Degrees Not Debt will be covered as well, where you can join other educators in a community of online colleagues, friends, and mentors.
